The Motorised Vehicle License (LKM) is issued by the Road Transport Department (RTD) under the Road Transport Act 1987 and Methods for Motorised Vehicle (Registration and Licensing ) 1959.

A. MOTORISED VEHICLE LICENSE RENEWAL (LKM)

     Documents required:

  1. Original vehicle registration certificate.
  2. Cash, money order, postal order, bank draft or money order is accepted.
  3. Valid Insurance.

 

B. LKM REPLACEMENT

      Issued for LKM that is damaged/faded/has printing errors or broken windscreen.

      * Required Documents

  1. The original vehicle registration certificate.
  2. The LKM plate that has faded / damaged.
  3. Police reports and original payment receipt (in the case of breakage of glass).
  4. Fee – None

 

C. COPY OF LKM

      * Issued in the case of loss of LKM.

      * Terms and required documents:

  1. Registered owner / representative is present
  2. Registered owner / representative is present
  3. Transport document K7 (Pind 1/2010)
  4. The original vehicle registration certificate.
  5. Original NRIC / Passport.
  6. The prescribed fee:
    1. Motorcycles
      1. Peninsular Malaysia: RM 20.00
      2. Sabah: RM 25.00
      3. Sarawak: RM 20.00
    2. Other Vehicles
      1. Peninsular Malaysia: RM 50.00
